The ordinance would set forth a Special Election to be <br />conducted on April 11, 2000. This is the latest date to conduct an election on the <br />ordinance proposed by initiative. The ordinance states that the City Council will submit <br />matters to the voters by appropriate resolution or ordinance, as required by law. This <br />includes the ballot title procedures contained in Ordinance No. 1321 as well as applicable <br />state statutes. The timeline includes a special meeting for the purpose of fixing ballot <br />titles, and it states that it will be a mail ballot rather than a polling place election.
