Properly <br /> <br /> <br />shredded garbage shall havla no particles larger than 1/2 inch in any <br /> <br /> <br />dimension. <br /> <br />(7) Any ashes, einders, sand, cement, plaster, mud, straw, <br /> <br />hay shavings, metals, glass, rags, tar, plastics, wood, paunch manure, <br /> <br />excessive manure, excessiVI~ hair and fleshings, excessive blood, <br /> <br />excessive intestinal contents from horses, cattle, sheep or swine; <br /> <br />animal hoofs or toenails, animal intestines or stomach casings, bones, <br /> <br />hog bristles, hides or parts thereof, animal fat or flesh in particles <br /> <br />larger than will go through a quarter-inch screen; poultry entrails, <br /> <br />heads, feet or feather; li]~e slurry or sludge, acetylene generation <br /> <br />sludge, or other sludges, chemical residues, paint residues, or any other <br /> <br />solid or viscous substance capable of or causing obstruction to the <br /> <br />flow in sanitary or storm sewers or natural or manmade drainage channels. <br /> <br />This section shall not be interpreted to exclude from the City sewer <br /> <br />utility those small amounts of any organic item listed in this section <br /> <br />generated by the normal home. <br /> <br />(8) Any waters or wastes having a pH lower than 5.5 or higher <br /> <br />than 10.0 or having any other corrosive property capable of causing <br /> <br />damage or hazard to structures, equipment and personnel of the City or <br /> <br />detrimental to the fish life ora:ream life of the receiving stream. <br /> <br />(9) Any cyanides: in excess of 2.0 parts per million by <br /> <br />weight as CN. <br />(10) The concentrated contents of any chemical tanks containing <br /> <br />acids, alkalies, heavy meta.ls or other materials harmful to the sewage <br /> <br />works. <br /> <br />(11) Any waters or wastes containing suspended solids of such <br /> <br />character and quantity that unusual attention or expense is required <br /> <br />to handle such materials at the sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br />(12) Any noxious or malodorous gas or substance, which either <br /> <br />singly or by interaction with other wastes, is capable of creating a <br /> <br />-2- <br />
