<br />(22) Any water or waste which:.,'bY interaction with other water <br /> <br /> <br />or waste in the public san:ltary sewer system, releases obnoxious gases, <br /> <br /> <br />raises chemical oxygen demand, or develops color of undesirable intensity <br /> <br />or forms suspended solids in objectional concentration, or creates any <br /> <br />other condition deleterious to structures and treatment process shall be <br /> <br />subject to control or shall be prohibited from the system. <br /> <br />(23) Any sanitary sewage into the storm sewer system or into <br /> <br />any natural drainage channE~l, or into any manmade irrigation ditch or <br /> <br />lateral. <br /> <br />(24) Any waste water from air conditioners. This waste water <br /> <br />shall be defined to includE~ all discharges of a continually running nature <br /> <br />from air conditioning units. Intermittent discharges which occur only at <br /> <br />intervals necessary to replace the coolant liquid, or minimal amounts <br /> <br />from units designed for individual rooms, are not prohibited by this <br /> <br />paragraph. <br /> <br />(b) Grease, oil and sand interceptors shall be provided when, <br /> <br />in the opinion of the City Administrator, they are necessary for the <br /> <br />proper handling of liquid ,.astes containing grease in excessive amounts, <br /> <br />or any flammable wastes, sand, and other harmful ingredients; except that <br /> <br />such interceptors shall not be required for private living quarters or <br /> <br />dwelling units. All interceptors shall be of a type and capacity approved <br /> <br />by the City Administrator and shall be so located as to be readily and <br /> <br />easily accessible for cleaning and inspection. <br /> <br />(c) Where installed, all grease, oil and sand interceptors <br /> <br />shall be maintained by the owner, at his expense, in continuously <br /> <br />efficient operation at all times. <br /> <br />(d) The admission into the public sewers of any waters or <br /> <br />wastes having (1) a 5-day Biochemical Oxygen Demand greater than <br /> <br />300 parts per million by wE~ight, or (2) containing more than 350 parts <br /> <br />per million by weight of suspended solids, or (3) containing any quantity <br /> <br />of substances having the characteristics described in paragraph (a), <br /> <br />or (4) having an average daily flow greater than 2% of the average daily <br /> <br />sewage flow of the City, shall be subject to the review and approval of <br /> <br />the City Administrator. ~lere necessary in the opinion of the City Adminis- <br />-5- <br />
