<br />accomplished either manually or by the use of mechanical equipment <br /> <br />acceptable to the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Installation, operation and maintenance of the sampling fa- <br /> <br /> <br />cilities shall be the responsibility of the person discharging the <br /> <br /> <br />waste and shall be subject to the approval of the City Administrator or <br /> <br /> <br />his duly authorized represEmtative at all times. Every care shall be <br /> <br />exercised in the collection of samples to insure their preservation in <br /> <br />a state comparable to that at the time the sample was taken. <br /> <br />With regard to analytical work, this may be delegated to <br /> <br />the person discharging the wastes and made subject to the approval of <br /> <br />the City Administrator. <br /> <br />(1) Analyses. Methods for certain analyses of industrial <br /> <br />wastes may be used subject to mutual agreement between the City <br /> <br />Administrator and the person or company discharging the waste. <br /> <br />Determination of the character and concentration of the <br /> <br />industrial wastes shall be made by the person discharging them, or his <br /> <br /> <br />agent, as designated and required by the City Administrator. The City <br /> <br /> <br />may also make its own analyses on the wastes and these determinations <br /> <br /> <br />shall be binding as a basis for charges. <br /> <br />(m) The City Administrator and other duly authorized <br /> <br />employees of the City bearing proper credentials and identification <br /> <br />shall be permitted to ente~r 1 upon all properties for the purpose of <br /> <br />inspection, observation, uleasurement, sampling, and testing, in accord- <br /> <br />ance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br />(n) Any person found to be violating any provision of this <br /> <br />ordinance shall be served by the City with written notice stating the <br /> <br />nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the <br /> <br />satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period <br /> <br />of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violation. <br /> <br />Section 12. Sand and Grease Traps: All filling stations, garages and sim- <br /> <br />ilar places having wash or grease racks connected with the sewer utility <br /> <br />shall be provided with a sand and grease trap of suitable size and con- <br /> <br />struction to be determined by the director of public service." <br /> <br />-8- <br />
