Approval of Agenda: Members approved the agenda.
IV. Approval of September Minutes: Members approved the minutes.
V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: Brooke Hubbard and Eliza Miller attended
the meeting as observers from the Louisville Youth Advisory Board. The Commission was very
happy to have them.
VI. Meeting as Advisory Board for the City of Louisville
A. Report from the Director of Library and Museum Services:
1. Beth reported that the movie curtain from the Rex Theatre will soon be exhibited in
the Museum. The Museum will hang the curtain, with visitors being able to see it by
the time of the Museum open house during the Parade of Lights. After it has been
exhibited, it will be appraised and at some point in the future it will be cleaned by a
conservator.
2. The City's 2012 budget has the Museum Coordinator position funded for full time.
Hours will be allocated one fourth to historic preservation and three fourths to the
Museum. The Commission awards this decision its highest approval rating. We
look forward to having the Museum open additional hours and to moving forward
with additional projects. Let the record show that, upon receiving this news,
Commission Chairperson Dan Mellish eloquently expressed his full support for this
decision by executing a perfect cartwheel.
3. The final "On The Same Page" program will be held this month.
City of Louisville
Louisville Historical Museum 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303-665-9048 (phone) 303-335-4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov
