Approval of the Fleet Replacement Policy
Authorization to Purchase Parks Vehicles
Authorization to Bid- Toro Groundmaster Mower
Authorization to Bid Recreation Center Parking Lot and Sports
Complex
Award Mowing Contract to Environmental Car, Inc.
Resolution No. 12, Series 2000 - A Resolution Proclaiming Support of
Census 2000
Approval of the City Administrator's Employment Agreement

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

John Waschak, 627 West Hawthorn Street, suggested that the City Council construct a
four-foot wide asphalt walkway around Harper Lake. He felt that the citizens of
Louisville would benefit from such a walkway.

Jim Cummings, 795 W. Pinyon Way, stated that he wished to present ideas about prairie
dog colonies on City lands. His concern centered on the remaining smaller colonies in
Louisville that are disappearing at fairly a rapid rate on public and private land. He hoped
that the Wildlife Task Force and the Open Space Board would address this issue, and
asked that the Council consider temporarily keeping the colonies in place.

Ted Snow, 511 Eisenhower, spoke of behalf of swimming pool development in the City
of Louisville. He stated that there is a very strong need for a new pool based on the
demands of existing facilities. He felt a new pool would accommodate current, as well as,
future needs. He urged the Council to consider and proceed with a new pool plan.

John Gedney, 723 Nighthawk Circle, supported the new swimming pool issue and
expansion of aquatic facilities. He stated his family is heavily involved in Louisville
Aquatic programs. He also stated there are excessive demands on Louisville's swimming
facilities, particularly the Recreation Center Swimming Pool. He pointed out that
swimming has become increasingly popular and them is not enough room at the existing
facilities. He stated that if City Council does not consider a new pool then access to
Louisville's pool should be denied to non-residents. He urged Council to consider a new
functional outdoor pool.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

Mayer stated he had received a questionnaire from the Regional Transportation Task
Force, asking for community input. He asked that City Administrator Simmons make
copies and distribute to the entire Council.

2
