Levihn commented on the swimming pool issue. He stated that after discussions with <br />several citizens, he believed there was considerable confusion and concern that a new <br />swimming pool would automatically close Memory Square's outdoor Pool. He believed <br />that Council needed to have further discussion relative to the swimming pool issue. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1323, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE UPDATING AND <br />AMENDING TITLE 5 BUSINESS LICENSES - 2 ND reading - public hearing- <br />continued from January 18, 2000(advertised Daily Camera 01/08/00) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1323, Series 2000 - An Ordinance <br />Amending Chapter 5.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code, Entitled "Business Licenses <br />Generally" to update the City's General Regulations concerning Business Licensing. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Dianne Ray, Director of Finance, stated that at the February 8th, 2000 worksession the <br />Council discussed the changes that are presented in this ordinance. As a result of the <br />discussion, staff will work on an entirely new approach to business licenses and a new <br />Ordinance regarding Title 5 Business Licenses. She asked that the City Council reject <br />Ordinance No. 1323, Series 2000. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak <br />for or against Ordinance No. 1323, Series 2000. Hearing none, Davidson closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that after a lengthy discussion, the consensus of the Council was that the <br />Business Licensing Ordinance needs additional work and Staff would prepare a <br />subsequent Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council disapprove Ordinance No. 1323, Series 2000, An Ordinance <br />Updating and Amending Title 5 Business License, seconded by Sisk. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a vote of 4-1, with 4 voting against the motion and one for and <br />one abstaining. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13, SERIES 2000 - A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2000 <br /> BUDGET FOR 1999 OPEN ENCUMBRANCES <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff introduction. <br /> <br />Dianne Ray, Director of Finance, stated that this process takes place every new budget <br />year. The Resolution amends the 2000 budget by increasing revenues and appropriations <br />in the General, Capital projects, Sewer Utility and Coal Creek Golf Course Funds.
