Board may designate other lands for open space designation through the inventory <br />process. <br /> <br />Brown stated that open space shall mean and include non-designated open space on the <br />map attached hereto as Exhibit A, or other lands that the Board shall designate. <br /> <br />Brown and Mayer accepted the amendment. <br /> <br />Davidson offered a friendly amendment that the map could be modified to show the 96th <br />Street connection. <br /> <br />Brown and Mayer accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> <br />Light noted that there was another mention of cross-hatching on Page 4., Section 5. "No <br />significant action shall be taken on any land designated as Open Space or cross-hatch <br />area until the Inventory is complete." <br /> <br />Brown offered a friendly amendment to eliminate cross-hatching area from the language. <br /> <br />Mayer accepted the amendment. <br /> <br />Jay Berger asked for clarification on the 96th Street connection. <br /> <br />Davidson stated the 96th Street connection is designates as roadway. <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken. Motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />A five minutes recess was taken at 9:35 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened at 9:40 p.m. Davidson reported that the City Clerk had received <br />the written withdrawal of the Open Space Initiative Petition signed by the Petitioners Ty <br />Gee and Jay Berger. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1328, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL <br />ELECTION- 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 02/05/00) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney presentation. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1328, Series calling a Special Election to <br />be conducted on April 11, 2000. This is the latest date to conduct an election on the <br />ordinance proposed by initiative. The ordinance states that the City Council will submit <br />matters to the voters by appropriate resolutions or ordinances as required by law. This <br />includes the ballot title procedures contained in Ordinance No. 1321 as well as applicable <br />state statutes. The timeline includes a special meeting for the purpose of fixing ballot <br />titles and states that there will be a mail ballot rather than a polling place election.
