<br />"13-1-32" Water Line Extension Policy. Any individual, firm, <br />or co,rporation desiring an extension of the City water <br />system to serve his private property shall pay the <br />entire cost of extending the City water service to <br />his property and shall deed to the City all water <br />lines and improvements necessary to extend the service <br />to his property. The City shall pay the cost of any <br />oversize pipe which the city requires to serve any <br />indi v'idual property as a result of any master plan <br />which is adopted by the City for water service within <br />or ou.tside of the existing City limits. All exten- <br />sions, shall conform to City specifications. In the <br />event~ any user is required to extend a main adjacent <br />to la.nd not owned or controlled by him, the City will <br />negot~iate a repayment agreement with the user which <br />will allow said user to recoup as much of the cost <br />of the extension between the boundary of his land and <br />the nearest properly sized City water main as can <br />be agrreed upon. <br /> <br />"13-1-33" Oversizing--City Participation. If the size line re- <br />quirE~d to serve a subdivision or individual is smaller <br />than the size line the City wishes installed for sound <br />future planning, then the City will participate in <br />the over sizing of the pipe from a minimum of 8" to the <br />size the City wishes to be installed. In no event <br />will the City participate in any size pipe line re- <br />quirEld to serve a given subdivision or other develop- <br />ment. <br /> <br />"13-1-34" Inside City Waterline Modifications. The City recog- <br />nizes its responsibility as relates to water service <br />to eJdsting, developed platted property within the <br />City which is already served by water mains and fire <br />hydrants which may be inadequate for conformance <br />with sound engineering and public safety standards. <br />When necessity arises for enlarging or replacing or <br />otheJ:~wise upgrading the water distribution system <br />in an existing, platted, developed area already <br />servE~d by City water, the improvements will be made <br />by the City of Louisville. If such improvements are <br />made necessary by the development of a new subdivision <br />which is to be served by a water main passing through <br />an a]~ea described above, then the city may require <br />the developer to negotiate a participation agreement <br />with the City for the cost of the improvements. <br /> <br />Section 3. RepE~al of Ordinances. That all other ordinances or <br /> <br />parts or provisions ojE the MUNICIPAL CODE OF the City of Louisville in <br /> <br />conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />-4- <br />
