ORDINANCE No.~1 ~ AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FUND; PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION OF PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FEES AS A CONDITION OF ISSUING BUILDING PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES FOR COLLECTING AND DISBURSING FUNDS; SPECIFYING PURPOSES FOR WHICH SUCH FUNDS MAY BE EXPENDED; AND PROVIDING MATTERS AND DETAILS IN RELATION THERETO. WHEREASt The City of Louisvillet because of the rapid development anticipated within the community which will create situations which will overtax and burden the present physical recreational facilities within the City of Louisvillet and WHEREASt in order to keep pace with this extraordinary influx of residents to the City of Louisville occasioned by the construction of residential and commercial facilitiest it iSt in the judgment of the City Council necessary and appropirate to provide additional recre- ational facilities in order to obtain a high standard within the City of Louisville; and, WHEREASt the City of Louisville has need of additional funds for the development of such recreational facilitiest and WHEREASt the City Council deems it necessary to establish additional sources of revenue to provide for the funding of parks and recreational facilitie~ such aSt but not necessarily limited tOt tennis courtst bicycle pathst park and picnic areast and play grounds; NOW THEREFOREt BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLEt COLORADO: SECTION 1. Definitions. (a) City of Louisville Parks and Recreational Fund.-- A special fundt for accounting purposest created by virtue of this ordinance for the purpose of purchasing recreational facilitiest or acquiring or constructing recreational facilitiest including the acquisition of real estate on which such facilities may be purchased or constructed.
