<br />(B) Streets shal I be aligned to join with planned or existing streets, where <br />desirable. <br /> <br />(C) Street jogs are to be avoided on arterial streets and carefully evaluated <br />on col lector streets. Unless otherwise required by the Planning Commission, <br />streets with centerl ine offsets of less than one hundred fifty (150) feet <br />shal I not be accepted. <br /> <br />(D) Streets shal I be designed to bear a logical relationship to the topography. <br /> <br />(E) Residential streets shal I be laid out so that their use by through traffic <br />wil I be discouraged. <br /> <br />(F) Intersections shal I approximate right angles as closely as possible. <br /> <br />(G) Cul-de-sacs shal I be permitted, provided they are not more than six <br />hundred (600) feet in length and have a turnaround right-of-way diameter of <br />at least one hundred (100) feet. Surface drainage shal I be toward the inter- <br />secting street, or if this is not possible, a drainage easement shal I be re- <br />quired through the cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />(H) Dead-end streets, with the exceptions of cUl-de-sacs, shal I be prohibited <br />unless they are designed to connect with future streets in adjacent land that <br />has not been platted, in which case, a temporary turnaround easement of ninety <br />(90) feet shal I be required. <br /> <br />(I) Restriction of access shal I be required when a subdivision or portion <br />thereof adjoins a freeway or arterial street. Marginal access streets, re- <br />verse frontage with screen planting contained in a non-access reservation, <br />deep lots or simi lar treatment shaJ I be required to reduce the impact of the <br />traffic on residential properties and to avoid interference with the movement <br />of the traffic on thoroughfares. <br /> <br />(J) The dedicationof a half street shal I not be accepted unless: <br /> <br />(I) The subdivider obtains for the City a dedication from the abutting <br />landowner of the other one-half of the streetj <br />(2) The subdivider obtains from the said abutting landowner an agree- <br />ment in a form satisfactory to the City Attorney which guarantees <br />the cost of the improvements and construction of the same on the <br />half street within a time suitable to the City Engineerj and <br />(3) The subdivider guarantees the construction of the improvements on <br />the half street which he is dedicatingj or <br />(4) Any other simi Jar arrangement recommended by the City Engineer and <br />approved by the Planning Commission and City Counci I. <br /> <br />(K) When the plat dedicates a street which ends on the plat or is on the <br />perimeter of the plat, the subdivider shal I convey the last foot of the street <br />on the terminal end or outside border of the plat to the City of Louisvi J Ie <br />and such shal I be designated by using Outlot(s)j the City shal I put the same <br />to publ ic use for public road and access purposes when, within its sole and <br />absolute discretion, it deems advisable. <br /> <br />3-2 <br />
