"4.6 City Treasurer - Salary - Bond. A city treasurer shall be elected at ~ach general munTCfpal election. The city trea- surer shall receive as full compensation for his services the sum of $900.00 per annum, payable in equal quarterly payments. Before entering upon the duties of his office, the treasurer shall furnish a surety bond to be approved by council, in the amount of $10,000.00, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of his duties as city treasurer and that when he shall vacate such office he will turn over and deliver to his successor all monies, books, papers, pro- perty or things belonging to the city and remaining in his charge as such treasurer. (C.R.S. 1953, 139-39-1) Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect January 1,1974. Section 3: Reasons for Emergency. In order to provide inducement for qualified candidates for the elected officials set for November 6, 1973, tor the City of Louisville, it is deemed necessary to have this ordinance passed prior to the time candidates must file their candidacy pet it ions. Section 4: Emergency.
