If the same person should serve as both city <br />clerk and city collector, one surety bond in the amount of <br />$10,000.00 may be given to cover both positions or offices. <br /> <br />"4.6 City Treasurer - Salary - Bond. A city treasurer shall be <br />elected at ~ach general munTCfpal election. The city trea- <br />surer shall receive as full compensation for his services <br />the sum of $900.00 per annum, payable in equal quarterly <br />payments. Before entering upon the duties of his office, <br />the treasurer shall furnish a surety bond to be approved by <br />council, in the amount of $10,000.00, conditioned upon <br />the faithful discharge of his duties as city treasurer and <br />that when he shall vacate such office he will turn over and <br />deliver to his successor all monies, books, papers, pro- <br />perty or things belonging to the city and remaining in his <br />charge as such treasurer. (C.R.S. 1953, 139-39-1) <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect January 1,1974. <br /> <br />Section 3: Reasons for Emergency. In order to provide inducement <br />for qualified candidates for the elected officials set for November 6, <br />1973, tor the City of Louisville, it is deemed necessary to have this <br />ordinance passed prior to the time candidates must file their candidacy <br />pet it ions. <br /> <br />Section 4: Emergency.
