<br />/ <br /> <br />(1) Any contractor applying for a building permit in accord- <br />ance with the applicable ordinances of the City of Louisville, shall as <br />a condition of obtaining such building permit, pay to the City of Louis- <br />ville an expansion fee: <br />(a) For any building constructed in El Estate District, <br />R 1 Residential District, R 2 Residential District as defined in the <br />zoning ordinance for the City of Louisville (Chapter 25, Louisville <br />Municipal Code, as amended) an expansion fee of twenty-five cents <br />(25 cents) per square foot of floor area, as herein defined, as the <br />same may be determined from the plans and specifications submitted <br />to the Building Official as part of the application for a Building <br />Permit. In order to encourage improvement in the older parts of the <br />City, located within the boundaries of the Louisville Urban Renewal <br />District, as adopted by the City Council, construction in that area <br />is exempt from said fee, it being the opinion of the City Council that <br />the exemption of said property is for the better health, safety and <br />welfare of all the citizens of the City of Louisville, which area is <br />more particularly described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at a point on the -east line of Section 8, Township <br />lS, Range 69W, 150 feet north of the north line of Harper Street; <br />THENCE west along a line 150 feet north and parallel to the <br />north line of Harper Street to the west right-of-way line of the Colo- <br />rado and Southern Railroad; <br />THENCE northwesterly along the west right-of-way line of the <br />Colorado and Southern Railroad to the north line of Section 8; <br />THENCE west along the north line of Section 8 to the center- <br />line of Main Street; <br />THENCE south along the centerline of Main Street to the north <br />line of High School Addition as extended from the west; <br />THENCE west along the extended north line and the north line <br />of the High School Addition to the west line of Jefferson Avenue as ex- <br />tended from the south; <br />THENCE south along the extended west line and the west line of <br />Jefferson Avenue to the north line of Harper Street; <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
