To read: <br /> <br />Fred expressed concern about the lagging 501 (c )(3) status. <br /> <br />Fred believes that because we don't take audio recordings of our meetings that <br />inevitably things will be left out reflecting a bias on the part of the secretary. He <br />objected to the minutes of June 7 because in his words "They are so detailed that <br />they are a little misleading." <br /> <br />Tim said that he would not glo through the minutes line by line, but there were <br />some clarifications to be made. For instance: "Canada has 73 cities with <br />complete bans on pesticides" should read: <br /> <br />Canada has 73 cities with complete or partial bans on pesticides. <br /> <br />The phrase "although he did not give us every reference; he has them to back up <br />his claims." Should read: <br /> <br />He can provide references to back up his statements. <br /> <br />'Tim found 5 studies that say it causes cancer." Should read: <br /> <br />Tim found 5 studies that say it causes cancer in animals. <br /> <br />'When Tim contacted the EPA they said that they classify 2,4d as a carcinogen" <br />should read: <br /> <br />When Tim reviewed the EPA literature it said they classify 2,4d as a carcinogen. <br /> <br />"Tim pointed out that less th'en 1/10 of 1 percent of a pesticide applied actually <br />makes it into the target plant" should read: <br /> <br />In some cases less than 1/10 of 1 percent... <br /> <br />"Tim said he just wants the dangers to be known." Should read: <br /> <br />Tim just wants the risks to ble known. <br /> <br />Tim stated that he believes the minutes are a fair representation of what was said <br />although they are not compliBtely accurate. <br /> <br />Susan wanted it to be known while she is approving the minutes she does not <br />agree with the declarative statements. Minutes approved with Fred's objection. <br />
