Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 4, 2000 <br />Page 2. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Frosty Woolridge, 1458 Ford Place, stated that he wished to address his concern for <br />worldwide over population and hunger. He presented a proposed Resolution in Support <br />of Population Stabilization and Immigration Reduction and urged Council to adopt such a <br />Resolution. Woolridge also noted his concern that rental homes in Louisville are not <br />being maintained. He presented several photographs illustrating the problem. He asked <br />Council to consider passing an ordinance to maintain a minimum yard code and offered <br />several suggestions. <br /> <br />Mary Ellen Ward, 250 Caledonia Street, stated that she was in favor of a new swimming <br />pool. She stated that she had conducted a survey of the maximum capacity of the swim <br />classes offered at the Louisville Recreation Center and noted that in each class there is a <br />long wait list. She urged to Council to consider building a new swimming pool. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK, <br /> APRIL 9-15, 2000 <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson proclaimed April 9-15, 2000 as National Library Week for the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado. He encouraged the citizens to join him in thanking the Librarians <br />for their dedication and service to the community. <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson presented the proclamation to Mary O'Donnell, Library Board Trustee, <br />Anne Mojo, Library Director and Carol Purfurst, Youth Services Supervisor. <br /> <br />Mary O'Donnell, Library Board Trustee, thanked the Mayor and Council for their <br />support and stated she looked forward to working together in the future. <br /> <br />Carol Purfurst, Youth Services Supervisor, invited the public to visit the Library at any <br />time, but especially during the National Library Week. She stated that the Library has <br />many special events planned for the week of April 9-15.
