<br />Louisville City Council Meeting <br />February 1, 2005 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons stated the City's purchasing policies would require more than <br />two weeks to obtain bids for a new sign. Mayor Sisk amended his motion to continue the <br />public hearing to March 1, 2005. Council member VanPelt accepted the amendment. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />George McKee, 946 Cypress Lane, Louisville, CO, President of the Cherrywood II HOA, <br />presented photos of the LaMar's sign visible from his home. He reviewed the City's sign <br />code, the CDDSG and the Louisville Municipal Code through a flip chart presentation. <br />He stressed the burden is on the City Council to insure that all the guidelines relative to <br />signage are followed consistently. He requested that the City solicit resident's input on <br />the signage in their neighborhood. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 5-0. Absent: Council <br />members Keany and Brown. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.5, SERIES 2005 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) TO BUILD A NEW 32,229 SF <br />LIBRARY ON TWO LEVELS WITH A BELOW GRADE PARKING <br />STRUCTURE AT 801 FRONT STREET, LOTS 2-6, BLOCK 2, LOUISVILLE <br />OLD TOWN - PUBLIC HEARING - (advertised Daily Camera 1/26/05) - (STAFF <br />RECOMMENDS CONTINUATION TO 2/15/05) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that the public hearing for the Final PUD for the <br />Louisville Public Library be continued to February 15,2005, seconded by Council <br />member Levihn. All in favor. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.6, SERIES 2005 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />SPECIAL REVIEW USE FOR A COFFEE SHOP TO BE LOCATED IN THE <br />PARK AT CTC - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 1/23/05) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood explained the applicant; Stan Swanson is requesting <br />approval of a Special Review Use application to authorize a 650 SF coffee shop on the 15t <br />floor of the building. The property is zoned Industrial and all retail, service and <br />restaurant uses require authorization through a SRU. The Planning Commission held a <br />public hearing on January 13 and recommends approval to the City Council without <br />conditions. The 15t floor storefront space is proposed for a small coffee shop, with <br />limited indoor seated and food service. No on-site food preparation is proposed and the <br />business would operate from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The parking stands for restaurant <br />uses is 15 spaces per 1,000 SF of floor area. Staff and the Planning Commission believe <br />that the parking provided will be adequate. <br /> <br />5 <br />
