<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 5, 2005 <br />Page 12 of 12 <br /> <br />students. The intent is for the liaisons to interview applicants for the Youth <br />Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Council member Brown commented on a meeting he attended where it was <br />reported one County has put two youth advisors on each board. He addressed a <br />Recreation, Arts and Open Space Foundations. He stated the Community <br />Foundation has stated they would facilitate those foundations if the City so <br />desired. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported on a meeting he attended with Senators Allard and Salazar <br />and Representative Udall and Beauprez and their staff members. He informed <br />Council there is a telecommunication bill, which will have a number of regional <br />meetings and Senator Salazar has requested that one of the meetings be held in <br />Denver. Senator Salazar has asked that municipalities complete a survey on <br />homeland security. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported he was contacted by County Commissioner Will Toor <br />relative to Boulder County Tabor refund distribution. A Boulder County <br />representative will attend the Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours <br />gathering to discuss this matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Council member Keany and Assistant City Manager for <br />Governmental Relations Heather Balser for working with Comcast to acquire the <br />remote DVD player for Channel 54. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk announced that Council member Keany will step down as Council <br />Liaison for the Youth Advisory Board. He thanked Council member Keany for his <br />service. Council member Marsella will join the Youth Advisory Board as Council <br />Liaison. He asked Council members to consider being alternates. He reported <br />on the progress of the Redevelopment Commission. <br /> <br />..~.
