City Attorney Light stated the Planning Commission has the authority to <br />work on the document as it goes through the process. <br /> <br />Planning Director Wood reviewed the procedure followed in the Comprehensive <br />Development Plan process. He explained each chapter is updated as it is <br />reviewed by the Planning Commission. Staff will document the changes so that <br />City Council will have an opportunity to review the draft document and the <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked if a public meeting could be held in a less formal process with <br />proper notification. City Attorney Light stated there would not be any prohibition <br />with proper notice. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported Staff members from the Cities of Louisville and <br />Lafayette are negotiating an Intergovernmental Agreement on the water supply to <br />the Coal Creek Cemetery. He informed Council of correspondence from the <br />contractor for the McCaslin Interchange Improvements, asking the City of <br />Louisville to concur and make a recommendation to the Town of Superior. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons outlined two meetings which will be held on Wednesday, <br />April 6, to discuss the draft condition survey regarding Highway 42 Revitalization <br />project. Business owners are scheduled at 3:00 p.m., and residential owners are <br />scheduled at 5:30 p.m. He also reported on a meeting with DRCOG to discuss <br />the City's Urban Growth Boundary. That meeting is scheduled for Thursday, <br />April 14. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council member Brown reported on a meeting of the Highway 42 Revitalization <br />Task Force, and stated it was an extremely productive meeting. He attended a <br />Consortium of Cities meeting on March 2, 2005, where members were asked to <br />discuss what projects the communities should focus on. Members will be asked <br />to rate potential long-term projects. He reviewed a list of projects and asked the <br />Mayor and Council to comment on their preference for projects. <br /> <br />Council member Keany rated trail connections, open space cooperation, and GIS <br />mapping as important projects. Council member Marsella and Mayor Sisk rated <br />a Regional Library Authority as an important long term project. <br /> <br />Council member Keany reported the Youth Advisory Board would meet <br />Thursday, April 7. He explained in the past, Staff liaisons sent letters to <br />Louisville school principals for recommendations of students to be members of <br />the Youth Advisory Board. He stated this year the positions on the Youth <br />Advisory Board will be advertised in the newspaper, and in the Recreation Center <br />brochure. The membership will consist of Middle School and High School <br />
