Submission of the recommended incentives as a separate document. <br />A list of proposed incentives was prepared, which would require specific <br />funding as part of the 2006 budget process. The Preservation <br />Commission feels very strongly this should be an incentive based <br />program. <br /> <br />. A recommendation from the Preservation Commission reqardinq the aqe <br />limit established in the landmarkinq criteria and for the demolition section. <br />The Preservation Commission feels strongly the 50-year age limit should <br />be used. <br /> <br />The provisions of Ordinance No. 1463, Series 2005 are as follows: <br />. Allows for Certified Local Government Status <br />. Creates a Process to Landmark Historic Buildings with the Owner's <br />Consent <br />. Creates a Process to Landmark Historic Districts with the Owner's <br />Consent <br />. Establishes Criteria for Local Landmarks and Districts <br />. Creates a Process for Alteration Certificate Review <br />. Creates Demolition Permit Procedures for all Buildings Older than an Age <br />to be Determined <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1463, Series 2005, does not provide for the following: <br />. Automatically landmark any building, regardless of age of the structure <br />. Automatically create any land marked districts. <br />. Allow the City any say over the interior of any building, land marked or not. <br />. Dictate paint color on any building, landmarked or not. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested comments from the Historic <br />Preservation Commission. <br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission Chairperson Mike Koertje reported on the <br />revisions to the ordinance, which included deletion of the landmarking over the <br />property owner's objections, and suggestions for incentive programs. The <br />Commission requests Council approval of Ordinance No. 1463, Series 2005. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dan Trudeau stated the Commission evaluated the minimum age <br />limit, as requested, and recommend that Council retain the 50-year age standard. <br />
