<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 17, 2005 <br />Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1471, SERIES 2005 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 10.04.060 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE <br />FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COURT COSTS WHERE PROOF OF <br />INSURANCE IS PROVIDED TO THE MUNICIPAL COURT - 1st reading - set <br />public hearing 6/7/05 <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1471, Series 2005 be <br />published and a public hearing be set for June 7, 2005, seconded by Council <br />member Levihn. All in favor. <br /> <br />UPDATE - LIBRARY PROJECT <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported the excavation of the dirt from the site <br />is on-going, and the dirt is being hauled to the Community Park site. Excavation <br />and shoring is scheduled to continue for the next month. The final construction <br />drawings are complete and will be available at the June 7, 2005 meeting. She <br />noted the cost for those drawings will be less than originally proposed. <br /> <br />Council member Keany asked if police enforcement has been increased on the <br />parking in the downtown area. Deputy City Manager Boyd confirmed it has. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> <br />No items to report. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported on the following Capital Projects: <br />Community Park Construction; Walnut Street Park (Savage/Pickett) Trails, and <br />Davidson Mesa Trails. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt voiced her concern over the Walnut Street Park Trails. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk voiced his concern over the Skate Park construction and asked that <br />the land management projects be discussed at the next study session. <br /> <br />Council member Keany asked that the Skate Park lighting also be discussed. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported on the following items: <br /> <br />. An article in the American Libraries Magazine, written by Bridget Bacon, a <br />former Louisville Public Library Trustee. <br /> <br />. June, 2005 - City Council/Planning Commission joint work session on <br />Comp Plan. <br />
