All in favor. Absent: Council <br />member Levihn. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - LANDMARK DESIGNATION APPLICATION - <br />LOUSIVILLE HISTORICAL MUSEUM, 1001 MAIN STREET (Historic <br />Preservation Commission request continuance to 9/20/05) (advertised Daily <br />Camera 7/23/05) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported the Historic Preservation Commission has requested this <br />item be continued to September 20, 2005. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Council continue the public hearing to <br />September 20, 2005, seconded by Council member Van Pelt. All in favor. <br />Absent: Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF A CITY OF LOUISVILLE PRESERVATION PLAN <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Community Facilitator Muth reported as a part of the City's application for <br />Certified Local Government Status with the State Historic Preservation Office, the <br />City must provide "a local preservation plan or statement describing the local <br />preservation plan." The Historic Preservation Commission has written a <br />suggested preservation plan for Louisville. The Plan lists goals for the City to <br />meet and a program for the Historic Preservation Commission to take on. The <br />Plan does not require funding from the City. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved to approve the Louisville <br />Preservation Plan, seconded by Council member Clabots. All in favor. Absent: <br />Council member Levihn. <br /> <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS FOR <br />PRESERVATION INCENTIVES <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Community Facilitator Muth reported the Historic Preservation Commission's <br />have requested Council consideration of incentives that will encourage residents <br />and business owners to preserve historic resources in Louisville. The <br />Commission submitted proposed incentives. Some require funding through the <br />
