<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 20, 2005 <br />Page 13 of 15 <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt commended the Finance Staff for their work on the in <br />depth RFP and the detailed review process. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light requested the motion include authorization for the City to <br />enter into an agreement with First National Bank of Colorado to provide banking <br />services for the next three years with an option to renew for an additional two <br />years. The motion should authorize the officers of the City, the Mayor, the City <br />Clerk, City Manager and Finance Director to execute any banking resolutions the <br />bank might require. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved Council authorize Staff to enter into <br />an agreement for bank services with First National Bank of Colorado to provide <br />banking services for the next three years with an option for a two year extension, <br />and authorize the officers of the City, and the Mayor, to execute all the required <br />forms. Council member Levihn seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. <br />The motion passed by a vote of 6-0. Recused: Mayor Sisko <br /> <br />UPDATE - LIBRARY PROJECT <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Boyd reported the Library Project remains on schedule and <br />on budget. The large crane will be removed and a smaller crane will be installed <br />on Spruce Street to install the pre-cast concrete slabs on the south side of the <br />building site. Staff will evaluate the value engineering from the project to <br />determine if items eliminated from the project should be added back. She also <br />reviewed the sustainability report, submitted by the architect, which outlined <br />LEEDS certification. <br /> <br />Council member Marsella asked for clarification of the project's financial <br />numbers. Deputy City Manager explained funds were carried over from last year. <br /> <br />The Library Foundation has completed its fund raiser, selling approximately 350 <br />painted tiles. The tiles will be laid out and installed in the main drinking fountain <br />area by a Louisville Boy Scout as part of the project for his Eagle Scout badge. <br />The project architect and assistant superintendent will assist him to insure it will <br />meet the quality required. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk preferred to have a LEEDS certification on the new library.
