Roll call vote was taken.
The motion carried by a vote of 7-0.

RESOLUTION No. 40, SERIES 2005 - A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE
JACOE STORE AN HISTORIC LANDMARK - public hearing (advertised
Daily Camera 7/23/05) - continued from 8/16/05 and 9/6/05

Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction.

Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation.

Community Facilitator Muth reported the Historic Preservation Commission
conducted public hearings on August 8 and September 12 for a landmark
application for the Louisville Historical Museum, 1001 Main Street. The
Commission modified the application to consider one application for each of the
three buildings on the site.

The application is for the Jacoe Store, which was built in 1908 and served as a
retail establishment until the 1950s when it was purchased by Dominic Tomeo.
The City of Louisville purchased the property in the 1980s and the Louisville
Historical Commission has used the site as the Louisville Historical Museum
since that time. The wood-frame building has had no known additions made to it
since construction. A basement was added to the site in the 1980s, but it has not
changed the building itself. The building meets the age criteria as it was built
circa 1908. The Commission determined that the Jacoe Store meets the criteria
set forth in section 15.36.050 as follows: Architectural Criteria; Social Criteria and
Physical Integrity. The Commission determined the building in its entirety should
be landmarked as an individual structure.

Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested public comment. There
were no comments.

COUNCIL COMMENT

Council member Marsella asked why the three properties were not landmarked
