PIERCE AVENUE, LOT 9, BLOCK 7, CTC, FIRST <br />READING - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 9/18/05) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood explained the subject property is a 7,200 SF tenant <br />space in an existing building at CTC. The 41,600 SF building was constructed in <br />1988. The tenant space proposed is located on the west side of the building and <br />is currently vacant. The Flatiron Improvements District is proposing to relocate <br />its office space, as well as the vehicle storage and maintenance facility for the <br />Zip Shuttle System. They propose the vehicles would be stored and maintained <br />in the CTC building. <br /> <br />Vehicle maintenance and repair is allowed only through a special review use. <br />Fueling of vehicles will be offsite, maintenance will occur within the building. <br />Traffic generation will be consistent with other light industrial users allowed in the <br />Industrial zoning district. One additional overhead garage door on the west side <br />is proposed. No other exterior building or site modifications are proposed. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the application on September 8 and voted <br />unanimously in favor of the application with one minor condition. <br /> <br />Joanna Greek, Executive Director, Flatiron Improvement District, 1 West Flatiron <br />Circle, Suite 377, Broomfield, CO stated she was available to respond to <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved for the approval of Resolution No. <br />44, Series 2005, seconded by Council member Levihn. All in favor. Absent: <br />Council member Marsella. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1456, SERIES 2004 - AN ORDINANCE ZONING <br />PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE HOYLE PROPERTY - 2nd reading - public <br />hearing (advertised Daily Camera 10/19/04 & 2/1/05 & 3/17/05 & 5/17/05 & <br />7/19/05) applicant requests a continuance to a date no later than 12/6/06 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1456, Series 2004. He explained <br />correspondence was received from the Hoyle family representative, Mr. Richard <br />Lopez, requesting a continuance of the public hearing until December 6, 2005. <br />He noted the City has no objection to the continuance. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing. <br />
