Historical Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 16, 2011 <br /> Louisville Public Library Meeting Room <br /> 951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 p.m. <br />I. <br />Call to Order <br />: Commission Vice-Chair Anne Robinson called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br />II. <br />Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present <br />: <br />Anne Robinson, Dave Ferguson, Pat Seader, Sally Burlingame, Diane Marino, Jennifer <br />Strand <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Dan Mellish, Sean Moynihan, Lynn Koglin, Brian Chamberlin <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Members of the Public Present: <br /> <br />Steve and Denice Spencer <br />III. <br />Approval of Agenda: <br /> Members approved the agenda. <br />IV. <br />Approval of October Minutes: <br />Members approved the minutes. <br />V. <br />Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br /> Visitors Steve and Denice Spencer have <br />recently moved to Louisville from northern California. The Commission welcomed the Spencers. <br />VI. <br />Meeting as Fundraising Board for the Historical Museum <br />A. Presentation/Approval of Treasurer’s Report <br />Dave Ferguson presented the following report: <br />Previous Balance $5,836.94 <br />Expenses $2,817.09 <br />Receipts $744.35 <br />CD $25,140.63 <br />Savings $13,694.01 <br />Checking: $3,764.20 <br />Total $42,598.84 <br />The Commission approved the Treasurer’s report. <br />B.Membership statistics and fundraising report. <br /> Bridget pointed out that year-over-year <br />membership numbers have continued steadily upward and that if we could gain 26 additional <br />paying members by the end of the year, we would add 100 for 2011, which would make it the <br />fourth year in a row for the Commission to receive at least 100 new paid memberships. <br />C. Discussion/Approval of Expenses. <br />After discussion, the members approved the following <br />expenses: <br />1. Dinner ticket purchases & plaque expenses for presenting the Pioneer Award at the <br />Chamber of Commerce Banquet (up to $500 approved) <br />2. $500 for nonprofit postage for PO account <br />3.
