Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 19, 2011 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Update on Demolition Request – <br />Speier gave an update of design assistance he provided for 1116 Jefferson Avenue. <br />Department Referrals – none <br />Updates – none <br />Items from Staff – <br />HPC and the 2012 Comprehensive Plan – McCartney reminded the HPC the <br />Comprehensive Plan will be updated in 2012 and the PlanningDepartment will <br />be interested in discussing a Heritage Component with the HPC. <br />641 Main Street –McCartney stated the owner of 641 Main Street is interested <br />in design assistance to determine if she can landmark her structure. The primary <br />question is whether she can complete the modifications of her approved PUD <br />after she has landmarked the structure. <br />Stewart recommended the HPC hold a site visit at 641 Main Street prior to the <br />next meeting. <br />728 Main Street –McCartney stated the owners of this commercial site are <br />interested in learning more about the landmark program. They will be requesting <br />a pre-filing meeting prior to them submitting. <br />Items from Commission Members – <br />Lewis stated she is enjoying the Facebook page. She mentioned John Leary, Old Town <br />resident, is interested putting some photos on the site. <br />Poppitz stated he went to the Wise Family Homestead in Eerie and recommended the HPC <br />should visit the site. It was a great historic site. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting –January 9, 2012 – <br />Bylaws <br />Adjourn <br />Stewart adjourned meeting at 8:45PM. <br />
