Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 18, 2000 <br />Page 19 <br /> <br />City Attorney Light commented that the signs or the lack of signs does not in it or of <br />itself create a current liability. He noted that under the Model Traffic Code (traffic signal <br />maintenance) there is authority to sign pedestrian right-of-ways. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that he would like to see signage installed. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that he has witnessed cyclists going the wrong direction on bike lanes, <br />which creates a hazard. He felt that the Police should take action against such violations. <br />Mayer reported that the Recycling Authority is pouring concrete, building foundations, <br />and moving forward with the new facility. In August, the Authority will sign a contract <br />with Eco-Cycle to operate the facility. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council adjourn (9:55 p.m.), seconded by Keany.
