Louisville City Council Meeting <br />July 18, 2000 <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council authorize publication of the public notice that <br />Council will make a final determination as to the acquisition of real estate for a future site <br />for the Louisville Housing Authority, seconded by Brown. All in favor. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Administrator Simmons informed Council of the new schedule and table for water <br />tap fees, which are now in effect. Simmons reminded Council of the Senior Citizens <br />event atstMemory Square Park on Wednesday, July 19th, and the C~ty' Picnic on Friday, <br />July 21 . He also reminded Council that there would be no work session on July 25tn. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson stated that he, Councilman Brown and Heather Balser met with <br />members of the Boulder City Council to discuss transportation improvements. He <br />reported that the meeting went extremely well. <br /> <br />Brown commended Mayor Davidson for his leadership in representing the City. <br /> <br />Davidson reported that he has received complaints about prairie dogs. He stated that he <br />has asked the City Attorney to review the Open Space Ordinance, to ensure that the letter <br />of the law and the intent of the law will be followed. He proposed a public hearing on the <br />issue of prairie dogs on public property. <br /> <br />Brown stated that the Open Space Board should address the issue first. <br /> <br />Sisk asked City Attorney if the downtown brick pathways protect pedestrians. He noted <br />that there isn't any "Yield to Pedestrian" signs. He voiced his concern that pedestrians <br />are jeopardized when crossing the streets. He stated he would like to see the pedestrians <br />have the right-of-way on crosswalks in the busy downtown streets. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
