ORDINANCE NO. 1237 SERIES 1996 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1994 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE AND ENACTING AMENDMENTS THERETO; ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1996 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE; ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1996 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE CODE PROVISIONS FOR THE 1996 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE; AMENDING, REPEALING AND REENACTING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ADOPTION OF THE FOREGOING CODES AND PROVISIONS, AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SUCH CODES. WHEREAS, national plumbing and electrical standards have been developed and are from time to time amended and updated, and it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville, and in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare, to adopt by reference the 1994 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, the 1996 Edition of the National Electrical Code, and the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code provisions for the 1996 Edition of the National Electrical Code; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the 1994 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, the 1996 Edition of the National Electrical Code, and the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code provisions for the 1996 Edition of the National Electrical Code, and recommends adoption of the same to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said codes and provisions; and WHEREAS, the 1994 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, the 1996 Edition of the National Electrical Code, and the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for th~ition of the National Electrical Code, have been submit~d to th~ City Council and the City Council has determined that the codes and provisions should be adopted as set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section ~ Section 15.16.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: 15.16.010 Adoption. The Uniform Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, 20001 Walnut Drive South, Walnut, California, 91879, is adopted by reference thereto and incorporated into and made a part of the Louisville 1
