The motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1341, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A <br />PARKING IMPROVEMENT FEE TO ASSIST IN MEETING PARKING NEEDS <br />IN DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 17.20 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE AND THE LOUISVILLE COMMERICAL <br />DEVELOPMENT DESIGN STANDARDS TO PROVIDE THAT OFF-STREET <br />PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE MAY BE <br />SATISFIED IN WHOLE OR PART BY PAYMENT OF A PARKING <br />IMPROVEMENT FEE - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised in Daily Camera <br />7/03/00) continued from 7/18/00 <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1342, Series 2000. <br /> <br />Davidson reviewed the status of Ordinance No. 1342, Series 2000. He noted that the <br />ordinance is currently being reviewed by the Planning Commission and has been <br />continued to their September 12, 2000 meeting for further discussion and consideration. <br />Davidson voiced his concern of the Planning Commission' s intent to analyze the parking <br />fee. Davidson stated that he would receive comments from the business community <br />relative to the parking ordinance. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> <br />Ronda Grassi, 916 Main Street, Louisville, CO, stated that the business community does <br />support the Parking Improvement Fee Ordinance and the only issue has been the fee <br />itself. She stated she was told that the DBA would not be allowed to negotiate the fee. <br />She noted that the parking ordinance is very important to the DBA and she encouraged <br />Council to establish the fees and pass the ordinance. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br /> <br />
