<br /> <br />Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, January 18, 2011 <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />I.: Mary Ann Heaney called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. <br />ROLL CALL <br />II.: Members (those present in bold): Cullen Choi (excused), Mary Ann <br />Heaney, Annie Hughes, Andy Johnson, Arno Laesecke, Mark Persichetti, Ted Sontrop, <br />Robin McGuckin (by phone), Staff Liaison Dave Szabados. <br />APPROVAL OF CURRENT MEETING’S AGENDA <br />III.: Approval of the agenda was <br />unanimous. <br />IV. <br />APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER’S MEETING MINUTES <br />: November minutes approved. <br />December minutes approved with conditions below: Misspelling on Boulder County Board <br />acronym; Mark still needs to receive permission to be able to publish document listed in <br />minutes; Estimate not a bid on the proposal for construction recycling facility. <br />V. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />: None. <br />WELCOME OF NEW MEMBER <br />VI.: Robin McGuckin introduction. <br />UPDATE ON CITY PLANNING PROJECTS <br />VII.–TROY RUSS <br />Presentation by Troy was precipitated by meeting with Mary Ann about Livable Cities. <br />(Seethepacket.) <br />2012 Comprehensive Plan Presentation <br />2012 Comprehensive Plan is the biggest thing on this year’s agenda; (description of Comp <br />Plan); 2005 was a framework plan; 2012 double check Community Vision & Framework <br />against changes over time. <br />Set up of Character Zones to describe the contextual differences of areas throughout the <br />City -“Context Matters” -recognize that the differences matter. Translate vision to <br />character zones to implementation. <br />Vision -to -Policies -to -Regulation; align principals. The big change may be the <br />recognition of neighborhoods. <br />Louisville is “built-out” from a policy perspective.
