Youth Advisory Board
Meeting Minutes
DATE
Page 3of 4
Mandy: Kim will also be at the ball on Saturday which would be a great time for
us all to meet with her.
Megan: Hopefully between now and our next meeting we can have a sub-
committee to discuss details for the publishing of our book. It will be later in
February and we’ll discuss which postcards to choose for the book, and how/who
should scan them into the correct format.
Joi volunteered to follow-up with Centennial Printing about prices and samplings
of the book tomorrow, Friday, February 3.
Mandy wrote down the names for the sub-committee.
The meeting will be Thursday, February 9th at 6:30pm. Place (Rec Center or
library) is TBA.
Kriska: If you guys write up some notes, you can forward them to me and I’ll send
them out to the rest of the board to let them know what they missed.
VIII.2012 Louisville Citizen Survey Policy Questions
Frost: Every board/commission is being asked their opinions on what questions
should be asked to the community about Louisville, generally about their
likes/dislikes about policy. The open space tax, for example, is being ended next
year. People are debating if it should return on the ballot or if something like the
golf course should instead be its replacement. Every board is allowed to submit 2
or 2 3 questions that are reviewed for overlapping ideas, and then 10 questions
will be created from those. The whole idea of keeping chickens is a big one.
Megan: Would the idea of turning downtown Louisville into a pedestrian mall like
Pearl Street be a policy issue?
Frost: Definitely. This whole concept is a great opportunity to have the board
speak.
Eliza: What is the final date of submission? Would we have next meeting to
decide?
Frost/Mandy: We’ll check on that deadline.
Megan: How about everyone thinks about it for the next meeting, and if the
deadline comes sooner than we thought, we can communicate via email.
IX.Eyes and Ears/Other board meetings

Isabella and Joi both missed their meetings and are signing up for another.
