Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />Louisville Library <br />st <br />1 Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 <br />7:00pm <br />I. Call to Order – Chairperson Tom Davinroy called the meeting to order at 7:00 <br />pm. <br />II. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Tom Davinroy, Alison Gorsevski, Linda Smith, <br />Mike Schantz, Laura Scott Denton, Helen Moshak <br />Board Members Absent: Spencer Guthrie, Justin McClure <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br />III. Approval of Agenda – Linda moved to approve the agenda. Mike seconded. <br />The motion was unanimous. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes – Mike moved to approve the minutes from <br />the Jan. 11, 2012 meeting. Linda seconded. Minutes were approved as written. <br />V. Discussion: Livable Cities Presentation <br /> Presentation by Mary Ann Heaney from the Louisville Sustainability <br />Advisory Board <br /> Generally, the objectives of the “Livable Cities” program are to create a <br />strong sense of place, encourage the development of public areas, <br />encourage the use of non-motorized transportation, reduce environmental <br />impacts and encourage public art. <br /> Identified opportunities in Louisville include: <br /> Connectivity of existing paths to critical areas (i.e. mass transit, <br />o <br />public areas); <br /> Increase urban garden areas; <br />o <br />City of Louisville <br />Parks & Recreation Department <br />749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4735 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br />
