Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Lori Jones, Art Underground was not present. She is interested in LCC posting <br />their events on the Art Hub. She is also interested in anyone volunteering 5 <br />hours a month from home helping to post the Art events. <br />President's Report — <br />The City of Louisville is putting together a survey at the end of February and <br />would like input from all the commissions. <br />The City Council study session is scheduled for April 10' 2012 at 7 pm. Brett is <br />going to do the Power Point presentation. He will coordinate with Susan and <br />Justine for the information needed. <br />Susan cited that the LCC mission statement to "support the arts in Louisville" and <br />that the purpose of the council was started as the first organization to bring arts <br />to Louisville. Currently, there are other organizations doing the same. Perhaps <br />LCC could be introducing other things, ie guest speakers. <br />Beth Berrett, Library Director is very interested in working with LCC. <br />It was suggested that members of the board shadow one another so that the <br />knowledge that board members' have isn't lost. <br />Treasurer's Report — <br />Event expense report was discussed. Justine will revise. There was discussion <br />about restricted monies from the City for programs and the need to keep <br />reserves up to remain a viable. <br />Justine picked up the mailbox key from the former president, Marianne. Susan <br />will need to check the post office box. She will also need to take the January 19th <br />minutes to Great Western Bank on Main Street and sign the signature card. <br />New members of the board will need to attend the Ethics training. No date has <br />been assigned yet. <br />No motion for the budget until Justine revises. <br />Event Reports — <br />Andy reported on Finnders and Youngberg concert on 1/20 (full house). <br />
