<br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words and numbers to be <br />deleted are stricken through; words to be added are capitalized; <br />numbers to be added are underlined): <br /> <br />10.04.050 <br /> <br />Designation of speed limits. <br /> <br />The director of public works of the city is <br />designated as the person authorized to set all speed <br />limits within the City of Louisville which are increased <br />or decreased specifically from those set forth under <br />section ~ 1101 of the Model Traffic Code for Colorado <br />Municipalities, 1977 Edition AS ADOPTED FROM TIME TO TIME <br />BY THE CITY. Said modification of speed limits shall be <br />maintained as set forth under section 23 12 of the Model <br />Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities, 1977 Edition AS <br />ADOPTED FROM TIME TO TIME BY THE CITY. <br /> <br />Section 6. Subsection (C) of Section 10.08.040 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows <br />(words and numbers to be deleted are stricken through; words to be <br />added are capitalized; numbers to be added are underlined): <br /> <br />10.08.040 <br /> <br />Parking and speed regulations. <br /> <br />C. Upon the basis of engineering and traffic <br />investigations by the Department of Highways <br />TRANSPORTATION, and the City, it has been determined that <br />reasonable and true speed limits on said portions of <br />streets shall be as provided in Section 10.04.020(1) <br />10.04.020(A) and a maximum of forty-five miles per hour <br />on State Highway 42 (East Street); provided, that <br />standard signs are erected giving notice of the <br />authorized speed, as provided by law. <br /> <br />Section 7. In light of the inclusion of section 1208, <br />Parking privileges for persons with disabilities, within the Model <br />Traffic Code adopted by this ordinance, Chapter 10.16, PARKING <br />PRIVILEGES FOR THE HANDICAPPED, of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 8. In light of the inclusion of section 236, Child <br />restraint systems required, and section 237, Safety belt systems, <br />within the Model Traffic Code adopted by this ordinance, Chapter <br />10.36, CHILD RESTRAINTS AND SEAT BELTS, of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 9. Any person who violates any provision of this <br />Ordinance or the Model Traffic Code adopted herein shall be <br />punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), <br />or by imprisonment not exceeding one (1) year, or by both such fine <br />and imprisonment, as set forth in Section 10.04.060 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code.
