Strong/Supportive Business Climate <br />-Sam is interested in more healthy fast-food restaurants to come to <br />Louisville <br />D. New ideas: <br />a. Sam-Creating a community that attracts the kinds of businesses we’re <br />interested in <br />E. Population: <br />a. Caps off at 23,000 for Louisville <br />b. Redevelopment or densification would be only ways to expand, no way <br />to expand geographically <br />“small town atmosphere with a progressive outlook.” <br />c. Schools: LES is approaching capacity through # of open-enroll <br />students, Coal Creek and Fireside are both at capacity. <br />F. Transportation/ Commuter Rail: <br />a. Frost-“City Council had a big meeting about it last night, majority of <br />people willing to pay more taxes to pay for trains but RTD doesn’t currently have <br />enough money to create a stop/station downtown (Louisville). Big ballot item for <br />November election. No one knows if it’s coming at all, even by 2024 or 2044.” <br />b. Bus system as alternative, more robust and will better connect <br />Louisville to downtown Denver (direct to Union Station). <br />G. Safeway <br />a. Scheduled to become a multi-use building with apartments <br />b. Planning Commission meeting on topic Thursday, March 8th and City <br />Council meeting Tuesday, March 20th <br />G. Community City Council Meeting Monday, March 12 at 7:30 <br /> <br /> <br />VII.Volunteer Projects: <br />Daffodil Pick-Up: March 10th (9-11:30am)-Rec Center <br /> <br />St Patrick’s Day Senior Dinner: March 15th (5:15-7:15pm)-Rec Center <br />April Ideas: <br />Spring Clean-up <br />Book promotion in collaboration with Cultural Council (Brooke and Eliza <br />went to meeting in February) <br /> <br /> <br /> VIII. Dear Louisville- <br />-publishing deadline of mid-April, before City Council meeting 4/10 <br />-Eliza volunteered to put files on USB drive at Rec Center to bring to <br />Centennial Printing for cropping price estimate <br /> <br />
