All were in favor. Absent: <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Dalton <br /> A. Approval of Bills <br /> B. Award Bid for the 2012 Utility Improvement Project <br /> C. Approval for Water Treatment Plant Annual Chemical Purchase <br /> D. Approval to Purchase Wastewater Treatment Plant Replacement Truck <br /> E. Approve Bid to Mike Shaw Chevrolet for Purchase of Two Trucks for the <br /> Parks Division <br /> F. Approve Bid to Heritage Ford Lincoln Mercury, Inc. for the Purchase of a <br /> Truck for Parks Division <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Martin Scheriff, 3415 17th Street, Boulder, CO voiced his appreciation to Senior <br /> Services Supervisor Katie Beasley for the lunch program at the Louisville Senior Center <br /> and distributed a letter he'd written to Parks and Recreation Director Stevens <br /> complimenting him on the Recreation Center programs. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle reported on the March 5, 2012 RTD FasTracks Rail Committee <br /> presentation relative to the Northwest Rail. Option 4 is a hybrid of a rail extension to <br /> Westminster and to the Church Ranch exit. The rest of the Northwest Region, (Boulder, <br /> Louisville and Longmont) would have Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). RTD proposes rail <br /> services to those communities sometime in the future. RTD proposes to use $894 <br /> Million on BRT in the Northwest area. The rail transit option is to take a bus to Church <br /> Ranch and then a train to Denver. He thanked the following elected officials for their <br /> support: Representative Jones, Senator Schaeffer and Congressman Polis. <br /> The next steps will include the RTD FasTracks subcommittee recommendation to the <br /> RTD Board on March 20, along with the annual performance evaluation to be filed with <br /> DRCOG. The full RTD Board will vote on the recommendation on March 27, 2012 and <br /> possibly forward it to DRCOG for analysis. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming reported the City's Human Resources Department is very busy <br /> processing applications for seasonal hires for Parks and Recreation and Public Works. <br /> They are also putting together a review date for filling the Economic Development <br /> Director position; working with the Police Department to fill the vacancy in the Police <br /> Department and filling the Capital Projects Manager position. In addition they are <br /> keeping up with the day-to-day processes of providing information on benefits to <br />
