Absent: Councilor Yarnell. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Mary Kay Knorr, 1209 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO spoke in support of preserving <br /> the grain elevator. She outlined the history of the grain elevator, which was built in 1906 <br /> and was a part of Louisville's agriculture, mining and railroad history. She stated it is <br /> the last grain elevator in Boulder County, which is capable of being preserved. She <br /> urged Council to seek grants to restore the grain elevator. <br /> Rich Channel, 1611 Circle Drive, Louisville, CO, also spoke in support of preserving the <br /> grain elevator. He knew members of the Thomas and Decker families. He thought the <br /> grain elevator was worthy of preservation and felt it would help the City. <br /> Jean Morgan, 1131 Spruce Street, Louisville, CO spoke in support of preserving the <br /> grain elevator. She felt the restored grain elevator would be focal point for the south <br /> entrance to downtown and urged Council to explore all avenues for its preservation. <br /> She explained the co-owner would like the City to purchase the property and take <br /> advantage of various grants available for preservation. She stated Rachel Parris, <br /> Endangered Places Program Coordinator, with Colorado Preservation Inc., is anxious to <br /> work with the City. <br /> Dustin Sagrillo, 737 W. Raintree Court, Louisville, CO. In Mr. Sagrillo's absence, Jean <br /> Morgan, read his letter of support for preserving the grain elevator. <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO, continued the filibuster he began in <br /> April of 2010. It is his belief there is collusion between the City of Louisville, Comcast <br /> Television and the Greater Metro Telecommunications Consortium (GMTC), which <br /> protects the interests of Comcast Television and not the citizens of the City of Louisville. <br /> He referred to meetings where his concerns were rebuffed by the City Manager and <br /> stated local government officials gave public access equipment to a school in Lafayette. <br /> He stated he would stand in witness to the long-time practice of City officials promoting <br /> the interest of Comcast Cable Television and not the interests of Louisville citizens <br /> APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle requested Consent Agenda Item D — (Approval of Independent <br /> Contractor Agreement with TischlerBise) be moved to the regular business agenda as <br /> Agenda Item 812. He called for other changes and hearing none, moved to approve the <br /> agenda as amended, seconded by Councilor Sackett. All were in favor. Absent: <br /> Councilor Yarnell. <br /> A.
