Approve Purchase Orders for Four Police Cars <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Councilor Keany reported on the McCaslin Interchange Committee Meeting at the Town <br /> of Superior. He stated the Committee will meet with the Council at a future study <br /> session. He noted the desired solution is very expensive, but they are hopeful they will <br /> receive funding from RTD and CDOT. <br /> Mayor Muckle reported the RTD Board of Directors approved the Northwest Rail Hybrid <br /> -Option of Rail and Bus, which will be forward to DRCOG for their review process. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming introduced Aaron DeJong, who will replace Bonnie Star as <br /> Economic Development Director. Aaron is currently the Assistant Economic <br /> Development Director in Dubuque, Iowa. Aaron was chosen out of 71 applicants. He <br /> thanked Bonnie Star for her excellent service to the City. <br /> The McCaslin Interchange Committee met in Superior and solutions for the Interchange <br /> were discussed. The desired solution, the diverging diamond interchange, is expensive <br /> and will require funding assistance. A public meeting at the Superior Town Hall has <br /> been scheduled for April 16. <br /> The 2012 Downtown Utility Project will replace portions of the City's aging water <br /> distribution and wastewater collection system this spring and early summer. <br /> Mayor Muckle welcomed Aaron DeJong to the City of Louisville. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> 2012 ARBOR DAY PROCLAMATION <br />
