Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />March 14, 2012 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />VIII. Board Updates <br /> The Planning Commission approved a 1 year extension for the Conoco Phillips <br />project. <br />Tom made a motion and OSAB unanimously concurred that OSAB send a letter <br />to City Council stating that we do notsupport the use of Conservation Trust – <br />Land Acquisition Funds for capital improvement or maintenance of the Coal <br />Creek Golf Course. <br />IX. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br /> Caryn Greer, 161 Raintree Ct.: <br /> Ms. Greer would like to point out that the increase in cost for the <br />o <br />Washington/McCaslin underpass has increased by $370k. <br /> She and many in her group feel that the funding for this project is <br />disproportionately coming from the Conservation Trust – Land <br />Acquisition Fund. She asked OSAB to watch for this. <br />X. Discussion: Open Space Open House <br /> See attached notes with brainstorming and additional notes. <br /> Posters – Tom and Laura have volunteered to make some posters (geo-cache, <br />tax, fire, volunteer) <br /> Ember will distribute a brainstorming list. <br />nd <br /> Timeline Goals: Have booth at the June 2 summer kick off events - Touch a <br />Truck and Taste of Louisville <br /> The objective is to develop a set of materials such that OSAB and other <br />o <br />volunteers can be present at a number of public events this summer to <br />educate the public about the open space tax. <br />XI. Discussion: 2011 Accomplishments <br /> OSAB met with Superior OSAC. <br /> OSAB developed a GIS Treasure Hunt, Facebook pages, distributed info to HOAs <br />and businesses on coyotes, developed the CTLA Fund economic history <br /> Reviewed development plans for: North End, Steel Ranch, Aquarius Parking Lot <br />Design, Crossing at McCaslin & Washington, PROST input, zoning changes <br />input <br />XII. Discussion Items for Next Meetings on April 11th 2012 <br /> Accomplishments for 2011 <br /> Materials for the Open Space Education Outreach Program <br /> Fire Mitigation and Prescribed Burn <br /> CTC trail information <br />XIII. Adjourn <br /> <br />
