Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />March 26, 2012 <br />Page 3of 5 <br />Wilsoncalled for any changes to the consent agenda. Gunning moved to move <br />Item H –Renewal of Village Square Retail Liquor Store license to Authority <br />Business as Item C. Rommelfanger seconded. All in favor. Rommelfanger <br />moved the consent agenda be approvedas amended.Wilsonseconded. All in <br />favor. Consent agenda approved as amended. <br />Authority Business <br />. <br />ASpecial Events Permit Application –Impact on Education –May 5, <br />2012 at Community Park <br />Greg Evans, Event Coordinator for Impact on Education, gave some background <br />on this event. In years past, it was held at Boulder Reservoir. This year the <br />organization decided to choose Community Park. It is a sit-down dinner and <br />fundraiser and draws about 500 people. He reported he was logistics <br />coordinator last year and the group dynamic was calm and he expected the <br />same this year. He stated there would be a number of staff monitoring the <br />alcohol service. He said he would be there when the alcohol arrived and <br />responsible for oversight until it was removed. <br />Chairperson Wilson thanked Mr. Evans for attending. Rommelfanger moved to <br />approve the Special Events Permit for Impact on Education. Gunning seconded. <br />All in favor. <br />B. Modification of premises –LuLu’sBBQ, LLC d/b/a LuLu’s BBQ – <br /> Tavern License -701Main St. <br />Chairperson Wilson introduced the item and noted the diagrams attached to <br />the applicationshow the additional patio space in front of the restaurant. <br />Secretary Hanson noted according to the business owner, this area was <br />originally proposed as part of the premisestherefore, the leasedid not <br />change. <br />Wilson moved the modification of premises to add front patio space to LuLu’s <br />BBQ be approved. Lipton seconded. All in favor. <br />C. Renewal Application –Village Square Liquor LLC d/b/a Village <br /> Square Liquor –Retail Liquor Store License –645 S. Boulder Rd. <br />Gunning stated he did not have any great concern, but he wanted to discuss this <br />item since therewas a letterfrom a customer concerned about the business <br />return policy andacomplaint filed with the Better Business Bureau. Gunning <br />asked if there was any State liquor law addressing returns on alcohol beverages. <br />Attorney Culley responded she could not find any. Authority members concurred <br />there was no reason to deny the renewal. <br /> <br />
