Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 17, 2011 <br />Page 7of 8 <br />Lipton offered a friendly amendment to include one condition of approval requiring a <br />report back to Planning Commission and City Council when a request has been <br />approved. <br />Brauneis accepted the friendly amendment. <br />Lipton asked for a discussion of the motion. <br />Brauneis stated he seesthis as a way to update the Fair Housing Act section of the <br />LMC. <br />Sheets, Brauneis, and Lipton discussed transparency and privacy of the individuals. <br />Russell stated it is difficult to balance privacy rights over public interest. He thinks it <br />would be difficult for an administrative review would have discretion. <br />Lipton suggested a continuance with a request to have the City Attorney present for <br />further discussion. <br />O’Connell stated her agreement with Lipton’s suggestion because the attorney could <br />address the Commissioner concerns. <br />Lipton made a substitute motion and Pritchard seconded the motion to continue the <br />approval of Resolution No. 27 to the December 8, 2011 Planning Commission <br />Meeting and the request the presence of the City Attorney. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Name Vote <br />Jeff LiptonYes <br />Chris PritchardYes <br />Susan S. He <br />requested the Commission approve an overflow meeting in January to allow time for <br />all necessary discussions. <br />All the Commissioners indicated their approval of an overflow meeting in January <br />2012. <br />Planning Commission Comments: <br />Lipton inquired about the lack of a traffic signal at HWY 42 and Paschal Drive. He <br />asked how soon a warrant study could be done. <br /> <br />
