1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03 <br />SERIES 2012 <br /> A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING THE LANDMARK DESIGNATI ON APPLICATION FOR AN HISTORICAL RESIDE NTIAL <br />STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 1005 LAFARGE AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Histo ric Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a landmark eligibility determination for an <br />historical residential structure located at 1005 LaFarge Avenue, on property legally <br />described as Lots 1 and 2 , Block 4 , Barclay Place, Town of Louisvil le , City of Louisville, <br />State of Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found <br />it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the Louisville Municipal Code, including <br />Section 15.36.050 .A, establishing criteria for landmark designation; and WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public hearing on the proposed <br />landmark application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 1005 LaFarge Avenue (Allera House) has social significance <br />because it was built in the early 20 th <br /> <br /> century , is an excellent example of a clipped gable <br />roof and column and pediment front porch and the history of the house has a direct <br />relationship to those who were prominent in the early development of Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC finds that these and other charact eristics specific to the <br />Allera House ha ve social significance as described in Section 15.36.050 .A of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />The applic ation to landmark the Caranci House be approved for the following <br />reasons: <br />1. Excellent example of a clipped gable roof and distinctive front porch . <br />2.
