She <br /> stated at the study session it was reported the Town of Superior would be managing the <br /> project and the City of Louisville would reimburse them one-half the cost of the project. <br /> Planning Director Russ stated he was not at the study session when it was discussed, <br /> but thought there might have been a discussion relative to the cost of the study versus <br /> the cost of the project. He noted the intent is to be equally shared. The City will <br /> manage the shared project. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Dalton stated the interchange has a lot of history between Superior and <br /> Louisville. The City and the Town of Superior are in agreement. He commended <br /> Planning Director Russ for his work on this project and voiced his support for moving <br /> forward. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> John S. Nahodyl, 2333 Dogwood Circle, Louisville, CO stated at first the Divergent <br /> Diamond Interchange looked confusing to him, but the explanation provided clarified <br /> that this is a forward thinking project. <br /> Bill Staton, 2396 McKinley Avenue, Louisville, CO inquired as to the total cost for the <br /> entire project. Mayor Muckle stated the estimated cost of the project would be $12.4 <br /> million dollars; with RTD paying $5 million and the balance split with the Town of <br /> Superior and the City of Louisville. He also noted there may be opportunities for federal <br /> funding. <br /> Darlene Nahodyl, 2333 Dogwood Circle, Louisville, CO stated her understanding is that <br /> RTD will not be extending light rail through Louisville, but instead will be increasing bus <br /> service. She stated this interchange improvement will provide an opportunity to improve <br /> those bus services. <br /> MOTION: Council member Sackett moved to authorize a contract with Felsburg Holt <br /> and Ullevig and approve an additional $190,105 in the 2012 Capital Improvement <br /> Budget (CIP) to further design and analyze the DDI for possible inclusion in the US 36 <br /> Phase II project, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. Roll call vote was taken.
