[1 -7- 116(2)] (IGA <br />must be signed 70 days prior to the election, which is August 28, 2012.) <br />Last day Municipal Candidates may file nominating petitions with the City <br />Clerk. [1 -4 -805] (71 days prior to the election). <br />Deadline for signing of coordinated election IGA. <br />Last day that nomination petitions may be amended to correct or replace <br />signatures that the Clerk finds are not in apparent conformity. [1 -4 -805] <br />(67 days prior to the election). <br />Last day affidavit of intent to accept write -in candidacy may be filed with <br />the City Clerk. Provide County Clerk with copies of affidavits received. <br />[1 -4- 1102(2)] (64 days prior to the election is September 3, 2012, which is <br />Labor Day — shifts to the next day). <br />Last regular City Council meeting at which to pass a resolution calling the <br />special election. Note: The call of the special election could occur this <br />late only if Council were not proceeding with any TABOR questions. As <br />noted in the July 3 entry above, the City Council should adopt this <br />resolution before passing on first reading any ordinance to refer a TABOR <br />ballot issue, and can do so at an earlier meeting if desired.. <br />September 7, 2012 Last day for City Clerk to establish by lot the order of ballot names. [1 -5- <br />406] (Prior to the certification of the ballot). <br />Last day for City Clerk to certify the ballot content to the County Clerk, <br />including ballot issues and ballot questions and all TABOR ballot issue <br />notice information except pro /con summaries. The certification shall be <br />delivered to the County Clerk and Recorder [1- 5- 203(3)(a)] (60 days prior <br />to the election.) <br />September 21, 2012 Last day to file written comments concerning TABOR ballot issues with <br />the City Clerk. [Colo. Const. Art X, § 20(3)(b)(v); 1 -7- 901(4)] (Friday <br />before the 45th day prior to the election.) <br />September 22, 2012 Deadline to send mail -in ballots to overseas military voters. [1 -8.3 -110] <br />(Saturday) (No later than 45 days prior to the election.) To be performed <br />by the election official in each jurisdiction charged with distributing <br />balloting materials.
