Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 9, 2012 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br />La Grave asked what Preservation Week was. <br />Stewart stated there is a typo – it should be Preservation Month. The HPC usually has <br />a workshop and eventually nominate certain historic structures for awards. <br />Koertje recommended the HPC should to present the recently landmarked recipients <br />with plaques, like they did last year, instead of doing awards. <br />Fasick asked if they HPC would like to do that at the Boulder Heritage Roundtable <br />meeting again. <br />Koertje stated that would be fine as long as we don’t actually present a hard copy of the <br />plaques – only slides. He added the plaques should be awarded at City Council, like <br />last year. <br />Koertje asked if an Annual Report would be provided to council again, similar to last <br />year. <br />McCartney stated he could dust off the 2011 Annual Report and give an updated <br />version at next meeting. <br />Koertje recommended including the number of demo reviews in 2011. Include in the <br />discussion the review of Arlen’s windows. <br />The HPC discussed other items which could be included in the Annual Report: <br /> <br /> Walking Tour – Historic Commission <br /> <br /> Plaques <br /> <br /> Interactive map on the website, GIS <br />La Grave stated he could easily do an interactive map on Google Maps without the <br />need of GIS. <br />Koertje inquired if La Grave could have this available for the next meeting. <br />La Grave stated he will try. <br />Discussion – Election of Officers <br />Stewart stated he was willing to chair again. <br />Koertje stated he was ready to step down as vice chair and nominated Fasick to replace <br />him <br />Stewart seconded the motion. <br />Koertje then nominated Stewart for chair. Fasick seconded the motion. <br /> <br />
