Special Events Permit Application —Variety Arts of Louisville — 917
Front Street— 6/29, 6/30, 7/6 and 7/13
Linee Perroncel, event manager and co-owner of the LoCo Yo, explained they
had conducted one day of the Special Event and thought it a big success. She
felt there would be a nice return for the non-profit after all the events. The
establishment used special cups to identify the alcoholic beverages, controlled
the flow of customers and experienced no issues with the alcohol sales. Ms.
Perroncel mentioned to Authority members, they will partner with another non-
profit in town to sponsor more of these events.
Gunning moved to approve the Special Events Permit for Variety Arts of
Louisville. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote — Lipton, yes — Gunning — yes, and
Rommelfanger— yes. Application approved.
B. Special Events Permit Application — Heritage House Ministries — 585
E. South Boulder Road — 8/4/12
Dan DelCarpio, event manager and employee of Ralphie's, explained he had
managed similar events at other venues. He felt confident this would be a good
fundraiser and the security was not an issue. Authority members clarified the
Special Event had to be a standalone event and alcohol could not be taken back
and forth from Ralphie's itself. Vice-Chairperson Rommelfanger suggested the
Police Department be involved to help with the security since he expected it
would be a popular event.
Gunning moved to approve the Special Event Permit for Heritage House
Ministries with the condition the Special Event be a standalone event; no alcohol
going from the restaurant and vice-versa. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote -
