<br />The determination of value or valuation under any of the <br />provisions of this code shall be made by the building <br />official. The value to be used in computing the building <br />permit and building plan review fees shall be the total <br />ACTUAL value of all construction work for which the <br />permit is issued, as well as all finish work, painting, <br />roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, <br />elevators, fire extinguishing systems and any other <br />permanent equipment. <br /> <br />section 2. Section 15.04.100 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read: <br /> <br />15.04.100 Schedule for single-family and multifamily dwelling <br />construction. <br /> <br />The following is added to the code: <br /> <br />"The value to be used in computing the building permit <br />and building plan review fees for single-family and <br />multifamily dwellings shall be the total value of all <br />construction work for which the permit is issued, as well <br />as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, <br />plumbing, heating, air conditioning, elevators, fire <br />extinguishing systems and any other permanent equipment, <br />as determined by the most recent edition of the "Building <br />Valuation Data," Building Standards Magazine, <br />International Conference of Building Officials, approved <br />from time to time by resolution of the city Council. The <br />computation of value or valuation shall be made by the <br />building official." <br /> <br />section 3. Any person who violates any provision of this <br />Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by <br />imprisonment not to exceed 1 year or both such fine and <br />imprisonment. Each day during any portion of which any violation <br />of any provision of this ordinance is committed, continued, or <br />permitted by any such person shall be a separate offense. <br /> <br />Section 4. The city Council herewith finds, determines, <br />and declares that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health and safety. <br /> <br />section 5. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be <br />invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity <br />of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The city council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each <br />part hereof irrespective of the fact that anyone part be declared <br />invalid. <br /> <br />section 6. The repeal or modification of any provision of <br />the Municipal Code of the City of Louisville by this ordinance <br /> <br />2 <br />
