<br />which release their contents after having been <br />projected from the device, any projectiles <br />designed for use in a device defined as an <br />illegal weapon under this section, metallic <br />knuckles, switch-blade knife, and any knife <br />that has a blade released from the handle or <br />sheath thereof by the force of gravity or by <br />the application of centrifugal force which <br />blade when so released is locked in place by <br />means of a button, springs, lever, or other <br />device, ANY OTHER WEAPON THAT IS ILLEGAL TO <br />POSSESS UNDER THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY, <br />STATE STATUTE, OR FEDERAL LAW, AND ANY WEAPON <br />IN THE POSSESSION OF A PERSON WHO IS BARRED BY <br />LAW TO POSSESS SUCH WEAPON. <br /> <br />Section 2. Subsections A, B, C, and D of Section 9.90.020 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby amended read as follows <br />(words to be deleted are stricken through; words to be added appear <br />in capital letters): <br /> <br />9.90.020 Procedure for disposition of property. <br /> <br />A. Prior to disposition of any unclaimed property having an <br />estimated value of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or more, the City <br />Administrator shall send a written notice by certified mail, <br />return receipt requested, to the last known address, if any, <br />of the owner of unclaimed property. The last known address of <br />the owner shall be the last address of the owner as shown by <br />the records of the City department or agency holding the <br />property. The notice shall include a description of the <br />property and, if known, the purpose for which the property was <br />deposited or otherwise held. The notice shall state where the <br />owner may make inquiry of or claim the property. The notice <br />shall also state that if the owner fails to provide the City <br />Administrator with a written claim for the return of the <br />property within sixty (60) THIRTY (30) days of the date of the <br />notice, the property shall become the sole property of the <br />City and any claim of the owner to such property shall be <br />deemed forfeited. <br /> <br />B. Prior to disposition of any unclaimed property <br />having an estimated value of less than Fifty <br />Dollars ($50.00), ANY UNCLAIMED PROPERTY having no <br />last known address of the owner, or ANY UNCLAIMED <br />PROPERTY having no identified owner, the City <br />Administrator shall cause a notice to be published <br />in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br />The notice shall include a description of the <br />property, the owner of the property if known, and <br />the purpose for which the property was deposited or <br /> <br />2 <br />
