<br />17.56.110 Liability. <br /> <br />The degree of flood protection required by this chapter is <br />considered reasonable for regulatory purposes and is based on scientific <br />and engineering considerations. Larger floods can and will occur on rare <br />occasions. Flood heights may be increased by man-made or natural <br />causes. This chapter does not imply that land outside the areas of <br />special flood hazard or uses permitted within such areas will be free <br />from flooding or flood damages. This chapter shall not create liability on <br />the part of or be a cause of action against the City of Louisville, any <br />board, commission, officer, or employee thereof, or the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency for any flood damages that result from <br />reliance on this chapter or any administrative decision lawfully made <br />thereunder. <br /> <br />17.56.120 Flood regulatory district -- Application. <br /> <br />The provisions for the flood regulatory district apply to all <br />floodplains of watercourses in the city for areas on the official map <br />established by section 17.56.070 and designated thereon as A zones. <br /> <br />17.56.130 Flood regulatory district -- Description. <br /> <br />The flood regulatory district shall include the area delineated on <br />the official maps established by section 17.56.070. <br /> <br />17.56.140 Reserved. <br /> <br />17.56.150 Flood regulatory district -- Permitted uses. <br /> <br />A. The following open uses shall be permitted within the flood <br />regulatory district to the extent that they are not prohibited in a <br />particular area by the underlying zoning capacity and shall be <br />exempt from the provisions of section 17.56.160 except as <br />provided in subsection B. of this section and except that such <br />uses shall be subject to subsection A. of section 17.56.160. <br /> <br />1 . Agricultural uses, such as general farming, pasture, truck <br />farming, forestry, sod farming, and wild crop harvesting; <br /> <br />2. Industrial-commercial open uses, such as loading areas, <br />parking areas, airport landing strips, and storage yards for <br />equipment or machinery easily moved or not subject to <br /> <br />11 <br />
